| I have owned several Acers and have always been pleased. So when I needed a laptop with DVD player to run some specialized software I just automatically went with Acer. The problem I am having is with the mouse. The way the pad is centered and the fact that it is barely recessed means that as you are typing your hand is hitting the mousepad, moving the mouse around. So if you're not looking at the screen, you don't know that all of a sudden your cursor has moved up three lines into the middle of a word. Add into that the quirks of Windows 7, where if you hit the wrong keys in the wrong order it tries to close down a program and there are disasters happening. Fundamentally I no longer use this computer if I have to write anything. It is solely used to run the software that was the reason for buying it. Give some thought to these concerns before you buy. |

It's not the fastest laptop but for the price it's a great buy. The processor and memory is fast enough to handle video streaming. Video is smooth.
Applications load quickly..I'm very happy with my purchase...

| Just got this laptop last week, it was very easy to set up out of box. The laptop is an excellent price for a good machine, it is fast and does everything I need. I have never owned an Acer before but have friends who have Acer products and have nothing bad to say. Highly recommend this product, and buying and shipping from Amazon was easy and fast! |
