Reviews From Customers

very useful & strong

I am that kind of person who use stuff very incautiously, so I need to update a lot once a while. But this backpack is really strong, and there is nothing wrong during this 6 months use.
Excellent laptop backpack

Belkin's laptop backpack has a sleek, unassuming look with a roomy interior. There's space inside for your laptop (17" screen or smaller), cards, notebooks, medium-sized portfolios, folders or envelopes and laptop accessories. The large front pocket has space for your pens, phone and even another notebook. Moreover, the shoulder straps are comfortable yet seem durable (as is the rest of the backpack, although I've only had it for a month or so and used it sparingly). Overall, I'm satisfied with this backpack. Excellent value for an exceptional price.
Aesthetically pleasing, just about perfect

Aesthetically pleasing; low profile. The backpack is very elegant, and remains slim even when packed with stuff. I bought this for my 15.4in laptop, and it packs it very well with room for a small umbrella at the top in the main compartment. As mentioned before, it has 3 main compartments, with many smaller zippered pouches found throughout the inside of the backpack. It's also MP3/Music player/Cell phone friendly, with a convenient pass-through hole which ends nearby a nice pocket which fits a cell phone/iPhone/MP3 player easily.

- The main compartment (largest) houses a laptop with a padded separator for papers, notebooks, and many smaller but flat segregations the size of notecards, and also two pen-pockets (one on either size, very convenient).

- The second compartment (medium) is just an open space with one velcro-sealed pocket for your MP3/Cell phone. Here you can put all your other redundancies like laptop charger, mouse, headphones, lunch, hat, or one/two pieces of clothing (shirt + pants).

- The smallest compartment is for small, loose items. I use it to store some granola bars, syncing chord for my phone, contact lens case and other small, but flat items.

The backpack has very comfortable padding for your back as well, and conforms to your spinal cord well, even though layers of clothes.

My personal caveats with the backpack are:
The second compartment could use a horizontal separator, like a "cargo net" in cars, because otherwise things just kind of sink to the bottom altogether. The smallest pocket in the front, has an unsightly zipper, which I tend to forget to close (mainly because it's not obvious to see it). This is nitpicking, but for a 15.4in laptop it's a little excessive, and I probably should have gotten something the 15.4in Belkin backpack, but I knew what I was buying hence it's a personal issue.

Overall, the backpack definitely packs more than just a laptop and papers. It's perfect as a carry-on for planes/trips, and it does all these things without looking ostentatious. For a price of $24 and free shipping, it was a steal.
YES IT FITS AN 18.4 INCH SCREEN

Review By: GameDev, on November 5, 2009
Caps locked the title for the sake of the people looking for that since it's hard to find that in reviews. I looked forever on reviews trying to find a decent priced backpack to fit my 18.4 inch Toshiba Satellite. Looked forever and only seemed to find people talking about their 17 inch laptops. Took a chance on this since the price was so low anyway. The backpack is made pretty well. And the biggest thing is that it fits an 18.4 inch screen. It's pretty snug, but it's not like the zipper is rubbing against the laptop or anything. Plus there's plenty of room for my cooling pad, mouse, and a few normal sized (not textbooks) books as well. There are a lot of sectioned areas in the backpack for organizing which is pretty cool too. I'd say it's an excellent value even for something that was double the price.
