How would I know if my laptop came with a built in microphone?

I know this might sound like a dumb question but I'm not sure. I have a Compac Notebook Envy, I think is the name. Im not a computer person lol

If you are running vista or Win 7 click on start, then type in sound recorder so sound recorder will shop up in the menu. click on it, hit the record button and start talking. hit stop, then play and see if you hear anything. You should, I have never seen a laptop that didn't have one. The quality usually isn't that good, but it's there.
